- 1/3 cup mayonnaise homemade is best
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 Tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- salt & pepper to taste
Measure ⅓ cup of mayonnaise into a small bowl.
Mince the garlic clove and add to mayo.
Add 2 tablespoons of lime (or lemon) juice.
Add ½ teaspoon of paprika.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Mix together well. Pro-Tip: The texture should resemble runny ranch dressing.
Taste for flavor and adjust to your liking. Let set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to incorporate.
- Do not store for longer than 3 days in the refrigerator when using homemade mayonnaise made with raw egg yolks.
- For additional flavors try the following:
- Creamy – Mix in an avocado and serve it with a vegetable tray.
- Spicy – Add some chipotle seasonings or red pepper flakes to spice it up.
- Savory – Roast the garlic instead of using raw garlic, or add a bit of lime or lemon zest with the lime or lemon juice.
